YANA stands for You Are Not Alone.

YANA International was founded from lived experience and a deep conviction that no one should feel forgotten in times of crisis. What began as a response to real needs on the ground has grown into a mission to restore dignity and hope to communities affected by poverty, displacement, and hardship.

We believe compassion is powerful — especially when it is practical.

Through food assistance, school supplies, healthcare support, and emergency relief, YANA serves children, families, and vulnerable individuals facing crisis. Every initiative is centered on one message:

Why We Exist

In places like Goma, Democratic Republic of Congo, and beyond, we have witnessed firsthand the resilience of families facing unimaginable challenges. We have seen how something small — a meal, a backpack, school supplies — can restore hope.

Our work is deeply personal - because we have seen the need with our eyes.

Our Founder’s Heart

YANA was not born from observation alone — it was born from lived experience.

Born and raised in a region affected by conflict, our founder understands the reality of displacement and uncertainty — not as a distant observer, but through lived experience. Growing up in a community that often felt overlooked shaped a deep conviction: no one should have to face hardship alone.

Having witnessed both struggle and resilience firsthand, it became clear that small acts of compassion — a meal, a backpack, school supplies — can restore dignity and renew hope.

YANA was created to turn that conviction into action.

Because every person deserves to be seen.

Every family deserves support.

And no community should feel forgotten.
