You Are Not Alone

Because no one should feel forgotten
Our founder grew up in the midst of war in Eastern Congo — a child who knew fear, loss, and displacement firsthand. She carried that experience with her across the world.
As a Certified Nursing Assistant in the United States, she sat beside elders day after day — watching many spend their most vulnerable moments without a single family member in the room.
No hand to hold. No familiar face. Just silence . That broke her heart and lit a fire within her.
When she become a mother, she faced another kind of loneliness — postpartum life without family nearby, no village, no one to bring a meal and no one to simply sit beside her.
Three seasons of loneliness. One answer:
Nobody should ever face their hardest moment alone.
That is why YANA exists.
You Are Not Alone
At YANA, we believe no one should face life’s hardest moments alone. Through our programs, we provide hope, practical support, and meaningful human connection to individuals and families facing crisis, isolation, and vulnerability.
When disaster strikes, hope cannot wait.
YANA provides emergency relief, food, shelter, and essential support to children and families affected by war, displacement, natural disasters, and humanitarian crises.
Beginning in Eastern Congo and growing wherever the need is greatest, we stand with vulnerable communities during their most difficult moments.
Whether delivering food, supporting orphaned children, assisting displaced families, or helping communities rebuild, YANA is committed to restoring dignity, hope, and opportunity.
Because compassion has no borders.
They raised families. They served their communities and our nation. They built lives.
Now, many sit alone.
No family visits. No familiar face on their birthday. No one to call when they need a ride to an appointment or someone simply to listen.
YANA shows up - with companionshjp, friendly visits, groceries assistance, hospital visits, and celebrations for life's special moments.
Because every elder, including our veterans, deserves to feel seen, valued, loved and never forgotten.
She just became a mother - but she is completely alone.
Postpartum is hard. Facing it without a village can feel overwhelming.
For mothers with no nearby family or support system, YANA shows up with meals, practical help, encouragement, and a sisterhood of women who become the village they need.
Whether it’s a warm meal, help around the home, a listening ear, or celebrating a new baby, no mother should have to do it all alone.
You grew a human. You deserve a village. We are it
Somewhere in Eastern Congo a child is sleeping without knowing if tomorrow will be safe.
Somewhere in America an elder is sitting alone — no visitor, no phone call, and no one to check in.
Somewhere, a new mother is crying in the dark, overwhelmed and without support.
Your support changes that reality.
Every dollar you give goes directly to a family in crisis, an elder who feels forgotten, or a mother facing the hardest days of her life alone.
Together we remind the world - You Are Not Alone.
